How our AI works
We use AI to help you find purposeful work, and we think you should know exactly how. Here is what it does, what it sees and where it stops.
What our AI features do
Values Match sits at the end of our Values Quiz. It reads your answers, plus any short story you choose to share, and suggests live roles and plant-based businesses in Ireland that fit what matters to you. Each suggestion comes with a plain-English reason.
Career Guide is a chat-style advisor for people thinking about a career change. It looks at your current situation, points out transferable skills, suggests ethical and sustainable sectors in Ireland worth exploring, and lists concrete next steps.
Which model we use
Both features use Google Gemini, accessed through the Lovable AI gateway. We do not run our own model and we do not send your information to advertisers or data brokers.
What data is processed
Values Match processes your quiz answers (values, role type, sector, county) and the optional story text you type. Career Guide processes the messages you send in that conversation.
Your conversations are not used to train models. No personal data is required to use either feature: you can complete the quiz and use the Career Guide without creating an account or giving us your name.
We keep anonymous usage counts (for example, how many quizzes were completed) so we can improve the features. Those counts never include message content or anything that identifies you.
AI insights are suggestions, not professional career advice.
Human oversight
Every job listing on Vegan Jobs Ireland is reviewed and approved by a human admin before it goes live. The AI never publishes content to the site on its own. It can only suggest and explain, never post.
Limitations
AI can make mistakes. It may misread your situation, miss a good match, or describe a role imprecisely. Always check job details, salary, location and closing dates directly with the employer before applying or making a decision.
AI and the environment
We know AI has an environmental footprint, and we take that seriously.
We deliberately use a small, efficient AI model (Google Gemini 2.5 Flash) rather than a large frontier model. Lighter models need far less computing power per answer.
Our AI features are text only. We do not generate AI images or video, which consume much more energy.
Career Guide sessions are limited in length, which keeps compute use low.
Google's data centres operate with carbon-free energy commitments, and we continue to monitor developments so we can keep choosing the most efficient options available.
We would rather be honest about a small footprint than claim to have none.
